On May 21, Dr. Le Doan from ICB CNRS presented recent work at the CLEO conference in Charlotte. Co-organized by the Optica, IEEE photonics society and American physical society, the event is the premier international forum for scientific and technical optics, uniting the fields of lasers and opto-electronics. Dr. Le Doan’s presentation, titled “Microwave-rate microcombs in normal dispersion spiral microresonators”, showcased the demonstration of low-repetition rate optical microcombs in normal-dispersion thin silicon nitride spiral resonators for applications in integrated microwave photonics.
